ROWLAND UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT· TRUSTEE AREA 1
More than three decades serving Rowland Unified — from inside our schools to the Board of Education.

MEET AGNES
Agnes P. Gonzalez has dedicated more than three decades to Rowland Unified. Before joining the Board of Education, she spent 31 years with the district, working at Nogales High School from 1990 through 2020 and supporting the school’s fiscal and accounting operations. In 2021, she was appointed to represent Trustee Area 1 and was re-appointed in 2022, bringing firsthand district and fiscal experience to the Board.
A graduate of the University of Southern California with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in accounting, Agnes later became a Graduate Gemologist through the Gemological Institute of America. Her public service also extends beyond the school district: she has served as Chairperson of the City of Walnut Senior Commission from 2022–2027, representing the needs and interests of Walnut’s senior community.
For Agnes, service has always been rooted in family and community. She has been married to U.S. Army veteran Jack Gonzalez for 45 years, and together they have built a life centered on family, education, and giving back to the community.

IN HER OWN WORDS
I want to leave a legacy to make a difference in the field of education. At the end of the day, my goal is to make sure that the community I serve will have the best opportunity in the decisions I make.
To be the first Filipina-American Board President in the 65-year history of Rowland Unified School District is an honor and a privilege that I will take with me and pass on to the next generation.
Agnes P. Gonzalez
